Basics in infection control training course
Aim of the program:

To allow for the experiences and knowledge to reach the doctors to be able to manage and implement applied basic infection control system inside health care centers and hospitals, which will reduce patient's mortality and morbidity, and doctors infection due to health care acquired infections
.
Teaching methods:

-Lectures- Discussion- Power point presentations- Case studies- Practical training- Handout of documentations- Education videos.
Curriculum content:

- Occupational health inside hospitals.
- Definition of health care associated infections.
- Role of infection control in health care service.
- Standard precautions;
Hand hygiene, PPE, waste management.
- Disinfection, sterilization and antiseptics.
- Microbiological basis for infection control.
- Multidrug resistant organisms and antibiotic policy.
- Isolation precautions.
- Aseptic techniques and invasive devices.
- Ebola: Stop the Outbreak
- Reprocessing of single used devices
Instructor:
********Prof: Dr: Iman Behiry
Professor of clinical and chemical pathology- unit of clinical microbiology. Worked as infection control consultant in more than 3 hospitals inside and outside Egypt. Had a French Diploma in infection control-Lyon University. Trained more than 3000 doctors and nurses on infection control program.
Certificate will be given to the trainees after attending and passing MCQ exam.
